To post a story or poem, first start a new thread. It might be helpful to make the title of the story the subject line.
Open the document you have written the story in and press ctrl + A (That’s the button cntl and the button A at the same time) or simply select the text you want to post with the mouse.
Then press cntl + C. Move over to the forum and click in the message box—where you want the text to go. Then press cntl + V. Everything you selected in the previous document should now be posted in the message window.
You can add a note saying what kind of feedback you want or anything we need to know about the story at the top or bottom. Then hit ‘Post Message’.
You’re done!
If you prefer, you can clip and paste by using your menus on the writing program and your web browser—however they will be a little different for everyone. For most of you, copy and paste will be under ‘Edit’ on both. On docx, it’s under home on the left hand side.
Because forums are quite basic, the formatting doesn’t always translate well between word pad and internet. If you want to space your text differently, I suggest creating a txt document (right click on your desktop and select ‘Text Document’) and paste your story or poem into that first. All your paragraphs should make up the start of each line, so if you want to space your stories like I do, you can simply start at the top and hit down, then enter, over and over until the paragraphs are double spaced.
