Just Introducing Myself

Hi!

I am retired and live in Cairns, and have just joined the group. My dream has always been to write a novel one day. However, it's taken me a long time to even come close to that point.

Over the past eighteen months, during which time I have participated in four U3A online courses, I've been writing short stories, with a couple of minor successes in competitions. Some years ago, I had an article published in an English family history magazine.

I am also writing my family history and my autobiography. Ideas for my novel are bubbling away in my head, but I haven't started it yet.

Apart from writing, other interests are genealogy, piano (learning) and anything of a spiritual/metaphysical nature. I also read and teach tarot.

I was planning on attending the meeting tomorrow, but unfortunately something has come up, and I don't think I will be able to make it. Please accept my apologies. I will join you for the July meeting.

As the closing date for the Anthology is prior to the next meeting, is it possible for me to submit something without actually having attended a meeting?

you can still submit without attendinga meeting. The anthology is open to all regional writers whether they belong to our group or not.
